Climate change data manipulated

Hundreds of private emails and documents allegedly exchanged between some of the world's leading climate scientists during the past 13 years have been stolen by hackers and leaked on line, it emerged the other day.

The climate change lobby are shouting that they show no collusion and the other side is shouting that they show the data is being manipulated to show that climate change is man made.

The contents of these is being discussed all over the Internet but I am more interested in who is right. So who is right?

I am basing my opinion on a live radio 4 interview with one of the lead scientists Prof. Robert Watson who when asked if the data was being manipulated stated that "the data was not being manipulated in a negative way."

This implies that the data is being manipulated but in a positive way. That would further imply that the data is being manipulated to show the desired results. And those results would be to show that humans are causing climate change.

From the mouth of one of the scientists, the data is being manipulated to show that humans are causing climate change. You can't get any more authoritative than that.
